It's this incredible picture bytheopteryx, which I fell into love with the instant I first saw it. I used to change backgrounds on a semi-regular basis, but in this case, it hasn't been swapped out since she posted it... wow, 10 months ago? (There was a three month period when this computer was broken and I was using my backup, though.)
The picture does a wonderful job telling the entire story, but my focus always goes to Gerard's face. It touches me deeply even after all this time, and I just ache for him.
